I'm Maria a designer with focus on UX and Ideation. In these fast moving times, my overall approach to design is user-centred, empathic, and hopefully aesthetically pleasing. I descripe myself as an empathic designer, which basically means that I am first and foremost devoted to understand and solve problems that users encounter.
Previous employers have described me as having a ‘can do’ attitude, which has resulted in high achievements both work and study wise. Of course, none of which was achieved alone. #teamwork
To get the holistic view of a case, I am always analytic and make evidence-based desicions
I am planner. Though, I am not afraid to go into uncharted territory I always have a plan… and a plan b!
In personality tests I seem to be consistently described as: supportive, reliable, and comfortable. In other words, I would make a killer pair of shoes.
The client wanted a digital solution for their Membership Club. The app is a fast and easy way to access the digital membership card, workshop finder, overview of saved bonuses and a display of members-only offers.
During this project I managed the workshops with the client with the purpose to discover their needs and visions for the app. I started sketching the app. It’s easy to come up with the idea, but the hard part is understanding how that idea will take shape in user interface form. From there a prototype was created and used for usertests with the end-user. Feedback was given and we went back to continue the development and finally got the product. The app is on available App store and Google play.

The client wanted a digital solution to for enhance their internal communication to their employees throughout all their many stores. During this project I was in charge of the UX, but also of UI.
The app is now consisting of a fast and easy access to the daily messages from Jack & Jones HQ, Personal work schedule, KPI overview, “Socialwall” where employees cross store can share good stories, E-Learning modules and a Store Stock Check function.
The client already had a strict visual identity, but in this project wanted various design suggestions based on their own E-Learning universe called “Me, My Store, My Market and My Jack & Jones”.
In the process of developing a design that the employees would appreciate and recognize, I made a few design proposals and started A/B testing. Thank god for the internet and prototype tool Invision! The design was settled and then the prototyping began. Usability and user experience of the app was tested through a 1 out of 2 days workshop where the employees where introduced to the app through games and quizzes with their co workers. The feedback game in and with that the product was done.

This project was part of my course ‘Trendbased Innovation’. We were focusing on the danes favorite transportation, bicycles combined it with ‘Internet of things’ and ’Sharing economy'.
A bicycle lock which makes it possible to share your bike with your friends, integrated GPS so you always can find the bike and last but not least a notification system, if you bike was moved when locked or even if you’ve forgotten to lock your bike.
The project is based on interviews with target group and from there a concept was visualized. I made this UI.
